The athletes

Who we work with.

Different goals, different events, different points in their cycling. Most arrived at roughly the same place — something in their training wasn’t adding up, and they weren’t quite sure why.

The training they set is flexible with my work and lifestyle and makes it a lot less stressful.

For the first time in my career, I actually understood what I was capable of and how to use it.

I was putting the work in to training but nothing was clicking in terms of results. Working with Qdos helped me understand my own physiology and what training actually suited me and how to use my strengths in races. I also found a way to balance training with life to get the best performances out.

They genuinely care about my performance and well-being.

They've supported me as I evolved from road cyclist to gravel cyclist, tuning my physiology to the very different demands of the discipline — and helping me understand what actually works for me.

Sweet spot and training based on FTP never worked for me. Discovering how my body actually worked suddenly transformed my riding.

I spent years doing the sessions everyone said I should be doing — sweet spot blocks, long threshold efforts — and just never responding the way I expected. It was frustrating because I was putting the work in. When we shifted the approach and started training around how my body actually works, everything clicked. I started hitting numbers I hadn't hit before and actually enjoying training again. That understanding of my own physiology is something I carry with me now, even now I no longer compete at the same level.

Concentrate on what matters — keeping my training purposeful and simple.

During weekly meetings, they have used a scientific approach to training. They also support me with pre-race tactics and other technique-based aspects of the sport. They provide much more support than just a training plan, massively helping me to progress with the psychological aspect that comes with training, racing, and life balance. They’re always friendly to talk to and happy to explain what each training session is for, and work with me and my ideas.

It takes away all the uncertainty of what to do and just keeps me focused.

It stops me from trying to do too much and makes sure I'm doing the training when it counts. I haven't had any injuries or burnouts, and yet I've just kept on improving. It's educated me on how to think about training and what it's really trying to do.

Learning how to race for me has brought back my confidence and enjoyment of the sport.

Spending time learning and thinking about the racing — and really understanding how to race for me — has helped me develop my confidence and ultimately find my enjoyment again for both racing and training. I've learnt to trust the process and what actually works for my body.
