Who we are
Qdos Coaching is a UK-based fitness coaching business. For anything about your data, email jamie@qdoscoaching.com.
What we collect, and why
On the website generally: anonymous usage analytics (via Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites), and whatever you choose to send us through the contact form (handled by Formspree).
If you use our training plan tool and connect Strava:
- Up to twelve months of your Strava activity data — dates, durations, distances, and where present power, heart rate and elevation — plus profile details Strava shares with your permission, such as weight, FTP and training zones. We read this data; we never post to Strava.
- Your answers to the short questionnaire about your training and goals.
- Your email address, if you choose to leave it to open your plan, together with a record of exactly what you consented to.
We use this to build your athlete profile and training plan, to email you the link to it, and — only if you tick the box — to send you one follow-up email. That is the whole list. We do not sell or share your data for advertising.
AI processing
Your training plan is generated with the help of Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic. Summaries of your training data and your questionnaire answers are sent to Anthropic’s API for that purpose. Anthropic does not train its models on data submitted through its API. Every number in your profile — volume, power, load — is computed by our own code from your data; the AI contributes coaching judgement, not arithmetic.
Where your data lives
The website is hosted by Vercel. Training data is stored in a database hosted by Turso. Emails are sent through Resend. Background processing runs on Inngest. Each of these providers processes data on our instructions.
Cookies
The training plan tool sets one essential cookie: a signed session identifier that keeps your data yours — it is what stops anyone else opening your profile or plan. It is not used for tracking or advertising. The main website sets no tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Training data and plans are kept so that your plan link (valid for 30 days, and renewable by asking) keeps working, and so we can improve how plans are built. You can have everything deleted at any time — email us and we will remove your training data, profile, plan and email address. You can also revoke our access to your Strava account at any time from your Strava settings, which stops any further reading of your data immediately.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email jamie@qdoscoaching.com and we will sort it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, tell you by email.
